they received on start date NOA1 on 3-13-13, and we were sent to the Vermont service center. It has been 4 months now. Just got a notice saying my case has been sent to Texas as it is my area.

I went on line and entered my zip code and the USCIS said Vermont is my center. they have the zip right as I just got it in the mail. Then I go to time line on my case file and there is not a Texas service center listed for I 129-F. they only list the California and the Vermont center.

I was happy as the Vermont center had gone from 5.5 months average to 5 months average and now my case is being sent to a center not listed. I did mail my application to Texas. but they sent it to Vermont in a few days. Got letters along the way. So they are good at that. but getting online info is hard if there is no Texas center located.

Texas usually doesn't handle i-129F, but since the Vermont Service Center is 'very busy' they transferred petitions to Texas. My petition was transfered after 5 months and got my noa 3 weeks later in Texas. we had to wait because they weren't trained for this kind of petitions. There is nothing wrong with petitions. You will receive all updates on your e-mail.

Texas is working with Vermont's I129F. The most important thing now is getting an approval :) good luck!

thanks everyone for the info. I feel better now. I thought it might be the sequester thing maybe. But now I understand that Vermont is trying to keep the timeline as it is recommended. On time. So I should be happy they care to try and meet the goals. Wish us the best. Hazel has be in cooking school and is becoming a great cook. I only get to see pictures of the dishes but it sounds like I will be eating them soon also. thanks again.

Just to let all know I got my text message last night from the Texas Center. NOA - 2 approved 7-30-13. I want to come here then but my hands were shaking to much. Well just to let you know getting sent to Texas is not a bad thing in my book. 8-13-13 would have been 5 months. So they came in two weeks short of their time line. My being from DC and a Redskin Fan let me say God Bless the Houston Texans. Hope this helps anyone in the same situation.

Oh the text just said action had been taken. I had to go to my case status to get the result. Just so you do not kill the phone looking for the rest for the text. God Bless
