Hi everyone, my fiance and I applied for k1 visa but I read I lot of post that in k1 visa co- sponsor is not applicable. My fiance will graduate next year June 2014. Since he is still a student we wil use the co-sponsor. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines I am just wondering if it'll help. Pls. Give me some advice.

Your income will not be considered, since you will be moving to the U.S. and it has to be taken into consideration you may not have the same income once you do, much less the same type of job.

It is very hard to get a K-1 visa approved in Manila on a co-sponsor. You probably will have better luck just waiting it out until the petitioner can meet the income requirements or getting married there and filing for a spousal visa instead.

If only we knew we just apply for spousal visa. But I think I need to pray hard and crossed my fingers. I am expecting to have an interview next month. But I heard a lot of post that they got approved using co-sponsor. It's confusing but I think I need to wait and see what will happen. Thanks to your reply. :)

Yes, you've already filed and you might as well follow up on the interview. A denial won't hurt your chances of refiling again in the future, with either a K-1 once your petitioner has sufficient income or a spousal once you two get married in the Philippines, because it will be clear why you were denied and that you have overcome this reason.
