Asking for different interview date

Hey,

I am just waiting on Case Complete now. And I know that after this, they will have to communicate with the embassy for an interview date. When I get my case complete, would there be anyway to set my appointment w the consulate/embassy instead of the wait time (that can go up to a month) for the NVC to set it? This is because I really need it to be before I start school at the end of August. I really would like to go to my hubby's interview and stay for 2-3 weeks to stay with him for when he gets the visa & fly back with him. I researched on here and most people get the visa 1-2 weeks. I want to stay 3 just in case. I don't mind missing one week of school but can't really do more than that. So getting a date in the beginning or middle of August would be fantastic (because of course they need to send all my info to the country). However, I do not believe it would be then or any time before then. And since the country is the one who decides when they have time for it, could I just speak with them??

I was thinking about the NVC setting it and then contacting the embassy, but I'm not sure how long the NVC would take to do that unsure.png

Hey,

Not that its not impossible but you have to get case complete first and you just sent off your package 10 days ago. You probably have another few weeks to get accepted and case complete. You probably will have case complete by end of July and be in interview queue for September or October. Only when you have interview date and sent to embassy you ask for earlier date.

have you tried to request a expedite from NVC?

That's what I thought, I was thinking I have to first get an interview date.. unsure.png Ugh, I just know it is going to take a while just knowing when the interview date is, and I just don't want to waste time for them to do that :(

I don't think I can get it expedited .. What are the grounds that you can get approved?
