Today was an exciting day for my husband and I - This is was our third trip to the DMV - this time we simply did not show them my husband driver's licence as they told us on 2 occasions that his I-94 had expired (in May) and he needed to wait on his green card.

With his DL from our home county and his EAD (we used the A# printed on the card), SS card and 2 proofs of residence (1st. was marriage certificate and my DL & 2nd. was his 797C- Notice of Action letters from immigration) and he was able to take the test and did his driving license(which he passed). He has his temporary license - and we are awaiting his driver's license in the mail.

Did you go to the DMV on County Services Pkwy in Marietta? I think that is one of the worse DMVs I've ever been to.

I see you live in Smyrna. I lived in Smyrna for a few years, but I moved a few miles away to the Vinings/Cumberland area a few months ago.

Yes - that is the same one we kept going to - thankfully this time we didn't even present his passport. We actually live by right in-between Vinings and Smyrna, and that was the closest DMV so we kept going there. We are so excited - coz now he can look for a job. He was always driving coz a cop has told me that he could drive with his DL from his home country.

Not really in dire need as of now. :)

We were looking at Toyota Highlander not sure if we want to get a new or used one.

No news on my AOS package since I sent last 6/27.

Re-reading on the DMV manual.

So far I'm just busying myself with putting in the laminated floor of our basement,

The little monster is busy making all of his mom's task impossible!

:) :) :)

As long as it fits a 17 month old monster, I'm all for it! I can try to make something work like that and put onw in his play room
