Don't worry about elementary school. They want maybe high school but are mostly looking at post secondary.

As for the address, yes it's just cities because it's not asking for the exact address but you might want to double check in the NVC June 2013 filers thread. :)

Which part?

Because for Canada, you don't fill out the DS230.

You are required to provide FULL exact addresses with dates on the online form

"30. List below all places you have lived for atleast 6 months since reaching age of 16, including places in your country of nationality, Begin with your present residence"

below this are 4 fields

"city/town" "province" "county" "from/to"

Only answer the questions being asked, which, in this case, is just City/Town, not street address.

Like niki said, they don't care about your elementary school.

Ok, his is just getting ridiculous and very confusing. I haven't even sent in any forms yet, and am just about ready to call it quits I'm so frustrated. Why do they have to make it so confusing? Thanks for the info though.

I thought that made it pretty damn easy to understand...

They do not make this process so that you work ahead of time.

They make it so that you wait for their letters, then do what the letters say.

But then you might be waiting for a very long time.

Exactly, I don't want to have to wait. I want to be prepared ahead of time,. And yes it is pretty easy to understand. But it's so much easier to print out a form and mail it out, than it is to scan, email etc. Not all of us are that computer savvy. Plus I moved so much I can't remember exact dates at places that I've lived since 16, let alone the addresses. How sticky are they on that?

Not very at all.

I couldn't for the life of me figure out when my husband was at what address.

We got round about years for each address, but the months were total guesses.

I agree I really wanted to do the form, but when you take into consideration processing/mailing time... the electronic form is faster........
