Has there ever been an interview letter sent by mistake?

I know, its a ridiculous question but my dad just called to say they have given me a date, 12th July and I am still shaking!

The reason I ask is that my last CEAC tracker change is still 10th June, and I called on 11th June to ask what had happened and they said it was all ready for scheduling and they didnt assign a date yet. But my interview letter is dated 13th and no CEAC update. I know im second guessing but I have been so scared this wouldn't come though in time for the big wedding i foolishly planned that I can't really believe it came through early!

So, anyone know if their CEAC updated time changed the day they got issued a date?

Thanks,

Zoe (shaking and freaking out :P)

you could call DoS Hotline (# in my profile) and ask for casefile status.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Well that is brilliant news for you. Don't count on CEAC. You know how the USCIS online tracker could be undependable. (it said my fiancé petition was pending over a year after my husband had his greencard.) You have the golden ticket into the Chocolate Factory, Willie Wonka...a letter with your name and a date.

Agree! This sounds like great news. It's in an expected time window, so I don't see any reason for it to be a mistake. Yay for you!

Huh. You're the second person I've seen on here in the last fortnight who got an interview date without returning their DS-2001.

Anyway, good luck! Exciting. :)

Hey claire and joe, we are interview buddies! Same time too! Perhaps I shall see you there :)

I have booked a room in one of the hotels recommended on here, if it helps, the Marble Arch Inn: http://www.marblearch-inn.co.uk/.

It isn't too far from the embassy so thats one piece of stress off my mind, now to work out how to drive in. I'm actually going off to Newquay for my hen weekend that evening so it will be one exhausting day! I second the "excited and nervous understatement"!

Hey Zoe , I look forward to seeing you i hope !

I tried the Marble Arch but they were fully booked , As i have two teenagers too i need a bigger room so im staying at the Astoria Hotel , its not too far but i think i will get a taxi at that time of the morning .

Im getting the train down (from Glos) , works out alot cheaper than driving , if i were you id leave the car on the outskirts of London then get the tube into town ?

If we dont get to meet , have a great weekend and happy hen night ! ! :D

Claire
