All sorts of crazy things happen. For my initial green card, I got some other woman's Work Authorization card as well as her interview notice. I got my just fine but they kept sending me her stuff even after I made copies, sent her stuff back with a letter explaining, called numerous times, sent more letters. I felt badly for the woman who was unaware that her stuff was mailed incorrectly. I have no idea if it worked out for her but again, cases get mixed up sometimes. Just follow their directions and you should be fine. :)

05/22/06 - Biometrics scheduled (online update) and appt letter was mailed on 05/20/16 - Day 12

05/24/06 - Biometrics letter became viewable online (appt scheduled for 06/07/16) - Day 14

05/27/16 - Received Biometrics letter in mail - Day 17

05/31/16 - Was denied walk-in fingerprints with just 1 person left in line. Milwaukee office, boo! - Day 21

06/07/16 - Biometrics completed in Milwaukee, WI - Day 28

12/21/16 - Passed Citizenship test/Interview was successful! - Day 197

01/26/17 - I am a US citizen!!! - Day 233

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Marc - was your wife ever successful in addressing the RFE and did you write up the monograph that I suggested?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks! Called USCIS. They had an ISO call me back because there was a 78 minute wait. Person I talked with I could barely understand because of their non-English accent. Not much help. You could tell they really wanted to go to their next call. But supposedly they sent another RFE on the 25th so we should be receiving this in the next few days. The woman suggested we call the Chinese Embassy and ask them what we need to send to resolve this as they would know best. I sort of thought this was why we called an ISO?? We have my wife's home registry from Chengdu. Shows her daughter and her parents were living there with my wife. I guess we just have to wait and see what the letter says, but assuming it is requesting more info to prove her daughter is her daughter. Wouldn't you think the records from her K-2 would do that? I mean you get a K-2 because one of your parents are in the USA and you've proven this and want you to come there too. I would think the USCIS would have such records and could reference them.

Since the K-2 was awarded (and subsequently used to come into the USA)

then there is a record of the A File.

You have a big problem with the data problem (wrong name on the RFE) and a big problem with proving up the parent-child relationship, and a big problem with contact USCIS in a meaningful fashio.

Sorry.

I would be on the phone with USCIS today , getting an ISO, and going over stuff.

However - this RFE - what is the return mail address? Which City ? Can tell me the city name?
