We just file ROC, last month May. My question, my husband had to love to another city for school and work. bcos there is no job opportunity in the little town we live at. So he move to another city for job and school. He has change his driver lic address to the address in another city so can pay less at the school. We are just thinking if changing of address on his drivers lic will be an issue at the USCIS. Also, he will be going for the BIOMETRIC next week. is the changing of address is going to be a issue at the USCIS. Your advice will be favorable consider. Thanks

It is a red flag, but not an automatic denial.

How long do you plan to be separated like this? Ie will you move to him soon? Is he coming back every weekend (show proof)?

People who read a topic may not necessarily have the answer, but are curious for themselves.

The way it matters is because when you are in a bonafide marriage, you normally live together. So by not living together, you need more proof that you are in a genuine marriage in different ways- co-mingled finances, proof he comes to visit every weekend, a cover letter laying out your plans and reason for living in different cities (ie why you cannot move with him for the two years) etc.

I cant move with him now bcos we dont have much money to move over. He was not living in apartment but living as a roommate(student). And he come home every weekend. we have already file ROC. is that going to be a issue or not...his not paying for lease but just roommate

For the third time- yes, it will be an issue. No, it doesn't mean you will be denied if you have enough other evidence.
