hi everyone:

I again called the USCIS and still got no definite answer about the status of my I-485. Did anybody who filed for AOS from August 2012 got their green card already? Or have had good update? Especially those from the West Palm Beach Local UCIS office?

I called them for the 3rd time - the rude lady who called me back yesterday told me that a request for interview have already been filed and they said they are waiting for a schedule to be given to me. I asked when will I get o hear from them since its almost 10 months now. They said to call THEM back again if I dont hear from them after 30 days. Question is, me and my husband is planning to travel back to the Philippines by November and my EAD & AP card will expire this October. What will I do if by July I still have not had my green card or get any update? and granting I get an update by July that I will be on card production. how long does it take before one actually get the card?

Thanks everyone!

Im july filer with noa1 from august 3. I totally understand your frustration. My local offices was Hialeah, Fl. I waited for 9 month to get a response to my Gc petition (from a k1 visa), with no clear response until april 20, 2013 (9 month later) Luckily for me, I didn't have an interview and I got my green card a week later. I find super weird cause usually when a gc case from a k1 visa, takes too long, like our case, usually it's because you are not going to have an interview. But if she told to wait 30 days, you should wait patiently. Good luck!

You would need to apply for new EAD and AP card before they expired if nothings going on still at that time so you can go on your trip.
