My girl's real name on her passport is Maria but I call her by her nic name Jhona. All the "Ongoing Evidence of a Relationship" stuff is in the name of Jhona. What can I do? Should I do anything? I am applying for Maria on the I-129f since that is her legal name.

Maria is her legal name so you should use that, she should explain if needed that Jhona is just a nick name. o.o

I mean you don't really need to do anything , my real name and nickname are different but it was ok

My husband and I both use nick names too. The only thing I did was note it on the cover letter. Here is what I wrote:

Please note: On all of our online corrispondence and day to day communication, we both use our nicknames, neither of which are legal names. B is used by myself, the petinioner, (his full name ) and G is used by the beneficiary, (my full name here)

Hope that helps

it depends on the stage you are on right now, because on the interview stage she will bring all those evidence and if Jhona is official nick name for Maria in Philippines then CO will know that and no need to even explain it to them unless they ask, but if you are on petition stage then you fill all your documents on her official name and all the evidence should have her official name since uscis worker wouldn't know about local nicknames, but you don't need to show any chats or email during petition stage only official docs like plane tickets or something that would have her official name anyway

Wish you all the best of luck! I sent my signed forms and passport pics to my husband last sunday. Express international airmail. Completely forgot about Memorial Day weekend, so as you can imagine, my package is sitting prettily at JKF inbound customs and hasn't budge for the last 4 days!

The frustration!
