VSC is down to a trickle of approvals a day. With just 6 days left for May 2013, we will not see OCT or NOV 2012 completed. They have moved our 5 month goal to "Oct 15" At this rate we cannot complete 2012 filers in the near future...the backlog will grow rapidly. NOV 2012 will not be completed for another 3-4 weeks or more at this rate.

Here is an interesting link to the reason why VSC has slowed down : http://www.cis.org/Announcements/99-Percent-Deferred-Action-Applications-Approved-DACA

A 99.5% approval rate is UNHEARD OF. And what is worse is that CSC has approved 20-30 A DAY, while VSC remains at THREE approvals a day. It's clear that CSC has moved their DACA files to another site, but VSC is processing these.

I urge all filers both VSC and CSC to contact their elected officials and scream about this broken system for K1 filers. I am meeting with my Congressman next week and will share data from both centers, the only way to make real change is to tackle this problem head on and ask for fairness to people who are following the law and attempting to bring their loved ones here. I vow to not stop screaming after I get my approval...I will continue for a permanent change in this system. Can you please agree to do the same? Grassroots is what our strength is.

Ok I have met with my congressman and want to share his comments.

First, I mentioned that some filers feel this is a separate "center" issue and they are not run as a whole. He looked at me as if I had two heads. I told him that I believed this was a problem with both centers and this process is broken. He agreed as he has had a good amount of calls from his district. He then said he was going to make a few calls to DC and "poke around a little". He agrees that this is a program that needs to be looked into especially now.

He assured me that he would keep me updated on his progress. He said that if I just mentioned the VSC, he would have only called there and looked into my one file. But because I came to him and stated that the whole system is broken, he then is compelled to talk to USCIS in DC.

He then agreed that the more representatives receiving complaints about the entire program (both centers) the more leverage/momentum they will have to help fix it.

Btw, he also said he was going to look into the transfer of files to TSC..."there should not be a delay in processing these files"....I feel I accomplished something...my voice was heard.

Please contact your representatives and speak up!
