Just be concise, clear about your reason for writing and your complaint. If you want to have them look into your case specifically, be sure to include your EAC number and what you require of them. We've written to both our Senator and congressman. They both sent us responses asking for permission to access our case. We responded to the congressman for now, then will send off to the Senator on June 17th.

Something like (obviously including who it's addressed to at the top and whatnot) -

Dear Congressman _____,

I am writing regarding my I-129F Petition for Fiance(e) currently filed at the Vermont Service Center, reference number EAC _____________, and the general processing times for such petitions. The Vermont Service Center........

Yada yada. Whatever you want to put really. Say what's on your mind.

Thank youu !! I will contact my senate right now on his web page! :)

The update on the USCIS website of October 15,2012 is as of March 31, 2013. That means that the date of october 15 was compiled on information from about a month and a half ago. I think this means that now, May 22th, they should be processing application from a month and a half later, so Late november/early december. since they tend to fall behind, it is more like mid-november to late november petitions. On Igor's List the latest filers are from this time. I have a portfolio of applications around mine on USCIS and one of them was finally touched (RFE). My NOA1 date is Dec. 4. So, based on the USCIS update, the waiting time is about 5 1/2 months, (October 15 to March 31) which we all know can vary. For me, it has been a little over 5 1/2 months so I think it will be soon.

This was my interpretation of the update. If anyone has another idea, let me know. smile.png

Exactly, thats what I saw today too and that's my interpretation also...BUT it's confusing as hell what they do...always have to read either between the lines or the little letters!! By the way our NOA1 is two days after yours biggrin.png!!

Keep your heads up fellow Vermont filers although it's a really tough journey!

Heavy heart right now.

We have been together TEN YEARS this coming December we both had children through previous marriages who are now grown up and doing there own thing. It left us free to take the decision to finally we together. We filed our I-129F in February and I believed them when they said 5 months processing time. We even thought we may be quicker as 5 months was an average. We thought our ten year relationship and ages would count for us. Of course we realise now we are just another set of papers in a great big pile of papers.

I am going back out to visit again in June, to the place I already consider my home. The area my fiance lives in has recently endured Tornadoes and the tragedy at West. Her father and brother live in Oklahoma and her dad has lost his home to the big tornado that hit Moore. I just want to be with her at this time, and for the rest of time. Like most of you this state of limbo is awful you just want to get on with the next phase of your life and start building a future.

I will comfort myself with the knowledge that we will be together soon all be it for ten weeks, although I am already not looking forward to coming back to the UK and having to wait even more through the months of September, October and who knows how much more.

The only thing I can say is that a relationship shared and built on this agony is a strong foundation. The waiting you both have to endure will one day be over and what remains will be worth it all.
