NOA2 extensions question

Hello,

Our I-797 expires on May 30 and we have not been given an interview date yet. Everything else has been done, paperwork sent, medical etc. Should i send a letter requesting an extension or is it something automatically done? Even if i did send one im not sure it would even get to London by next Thursday anyways!!..Thanks for any help....

Also does these seem ok for an approval extension?? (i edited it from the original example on here)

It is my understanding that the consulate can extend the approval notice if my fiancé and I remain legally free to marry and continue to plan to marry after my fiancé enters the United States.

Therefore, please be aware:

• My fiancé and I continue to be legally single and free to marry.
• My fiancé and I plan to marry within 90 days of his entrance in to the United States.
• Our 1-797 approval will expire on May 30, 2013 and as of May 20, 2013 no interview has yet been scheduled.

I sincerely request that you extend the approval notice so that my fiancé, xxxxxxxxxxxx, may receive the K-1 visa.

The Embassy has the ability to re-validate the petition if an interview has not yet taken place by the date on the notice. This is routinely done and no action is needed on your part.

Read your instruction letter from London again. They give a date in their letter and tell what to do if you go 4 months past it. Your letter would have a date at the bottom they call the Priority date. I'm not sure if it is the same as the NOA2 date or a date when they send out their instruction letter. Reply and tell us if it is the same.

No need to write for an extension.

what i was concerned with was shouldn't we contact them before the expiration date comes and goes????..or just wait and let it go past and just bring a notarized copy of an intent to marry whenever the interview might be ??..

They won't cancel you or deny you. If you hadn't sent anything in at all, they would even contact you again to ask what are you waiting for? Have you confirmed with DOS that all your things are received and they aren't waiting to get anything from you? What dates did you--

Send the 4 application forms?

Have the medical?

Send DS-2001 readiness form?
