What documents to take on interview?

Hello VJ members. I want to thank all that reply in advance.

I wanted to ask what documents should the petitioner travel with while being present for their spouse's interview. I know taking most recent chats, phone records, photo album and tax returns and recent check stubs are crucial.

Does anyone know if taking a copy of all the submitted documents is a good advice? Any thoughts about this subject will be appreciated.

An entire package is difficult to drag along besides everything else if the visa journey has been years instead of months and much accumulates.
If you can somehow manage it would be best to take everything.
If you pick and chose I would also add the affidavits from friends and family and certified divorce or death certificates to the items you mentioned.
If possible more proof that you co mingled finances, life or accident insurance copies showing that he is the added beneficiary of the policies, work health insurance, CC statements if he was added etc...

copies of the required documents that you sent to NVC shd be a must . There have been stories where the CO states they cant find any copy in the file before them(either they don't want to sort through the bulky file or NVC left it behind).

Then like ebunoluwa said, additional pics or supporting documents that you built up again during the NVC waiting period.

copies I meant are copies of birth and marriage certs, police certs, divorce certs if applicable and AOS. They need to have these in their file after the interview so the beneficiary should go always go wth a back up even if they were submitted along with the originals at NVC stage.
