I just noticed that the processing date according to the latest update from the Calafornia Service Center for I129F petitions moved backward over the past month. The October 30, 2006 report indicated May 2, 2006 petitions were being processed. Now after almost a month later, the November 17 posting indicated April 18, 2006 petitions were being processed. This appears to be a 39 day step backwards!! Can anyone explain what is going on at the USCIS?

You were approved before the posted filing date because the dates on the USCIS website are not reality but simply a date 6 mos. ago or as some people have concluded that it is the date of the oldest open petition they still have in the center.

hi...

I gave up on the dates posted by the site...we applied in June and our petition was approved in September...we now have visa date set for next month...so by looking at the timelines on USCIS does not realy give the right picture and confuses folks more.
