yay we finally got an interview date. for june 19th at 7:45 am

with that being said what ahould we expect and what will we pay? any advice please tell me ease my nerves im to excited and anxius!!

hey, if you dun mind me asking, when did you find out you got your interview date for June?

9/29/06 - Started dating my husband (LDR For 5 years after 6/07)
8/22/12 - Married in Japan
10/10/12 - I-130 Sent (Japan Post)
10/12/12 - Received at Chicago Lock Box
10/15/12 - NOA1(no email, had to call and find out and recieved the hard copy 10/22/12) case at NBC
12/14/12 - NOA2(no email once again,randomly checked it online)
01/07/13 - NVC Case Received
01/25/13 - Case Number assigned and AOS fee billed(somehow NVC didn't write down the proper emails for my husband and I )
3/06/13 - AOS invoice paid!(more like the 4th,when they withdrew the money!)
3/04/13 - DS-3032 email sent
3/13/13 - DS-3032 replied to
3/14/13 - IV invoice billed
3/16/13 - IV invoice bill paid
3/19/13 - NVC withdrew my money(waiting for the PAID STATUS)
3/24/13 - IV invoice officially paid
4/03/13 - Sent AOS and IV (without PCC....doh!) package via next day mail
4/04/13 - AOS & IV Package received
4/16/13 - AOS accepted(found out by phone april 17th)
4/17/13 - NVC wants PCC(found out via phone)CHECKLIST!
4/18/13 - Sent PCC with checklist (cover letter, etc) next day mail
4/19/13 - PCC delivered
4/30/13 - Case Complete(Lord, PLEASE!!! LET ME GET IT BY THE END OF APRIL!!) #### YEAH!

5/16/13- Package left NVC for Tokyo(I assume it will get there in 3days)

YAY!!!!! Check out the reviews on peoples timelines that will give you an idea as what to expect. Now you need to do medical $290. Sorry not sure what other fees as I know you paid visa fee to NVC.

Congrats on your interview. This is what I have learned so far. Anybody feel free to correct me because I am still learning myself.

After the excitement you have to remain calm so that you can properly prepare for what is ahead. After you receive the p4 email telling you of the interview date and any missing documents. You can use that email to pay the bank fee (around 680 pesos or $17 very important to keep receipt and take to interview) and you will be needing that email for the medical. For the medical he will have to take his cedula, three passport photos, the interview letter and the fees (currently $290). They advise you to have the medical done at least ten days before the interview. You now have to start getting all your proof ready and easily organized (photos, boarding passes, phone logs, western union receipts if any, hotel receipts, emails) and copies of all applications submitted all along and copies of all documents as well as originals if easily accessible. You will also need an updated police letter to take to interview and your passports. On the interview date you will be asked to submit the police letter as well as necessary documents. Once approved :-) you will pay the Domex fee (around $12 or $15). After you get your visa and the AA number you will have to pay the $165 fee online. Anybody can pay this fee from a US bank as long as they have your AA number. Also very important to review as many questions as possible and practice, practice, practice. Reading past interviews will be very helpful. Good luck to all us June interviews and everybody here on VJ!!!!

Congrats :) we also got our interview date for june 19th dancin5hr.gif, now your spouse can go to get his medical exam, you also go to the banco popular and pay a fee of $15 US dollars i believe that is the amount & he has to get a new police certificate since they are good just for a month.

As GodsGift225 said, you can pay the 15 dollars at any banco popular and and anytime you want now, he has to go to consultorio de visa in santo domingo for his medical.

Why is it 5 hours away where does he leave?

yes the medical is in santo domingo , where does he live .. 5 hrs away whooshhh !!!! theres a man in santiago that takes people down to la capital for like 1000 pesos the whole trip, thats how my hubby is going

Can he go do his medical anytme now? I kinda want to get it over and done with. when he does the medical he needs to take the money, passport pictures (how many?) his passport and his ID correct? anything else?
