Hi everyone, it is I again, your friendly neighbor here in visa journey:) anyone has experience in obtaining a CFO sticker? I've already underwent a seminar with them and they gave me a certification. I want to know how to get the sticker, should I go there early? My daughter has a US and PHIL. Passport, will she still be required to have it? What docs. Will I need ? Thanks!

No need to go early.

Just bring the following documents:

Requirements for Registration

  1. Original and photocopy of Passport;
  2. Original and photocopy of visa
  3. Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for US-bound emigrants;
  4. Original CFO guidance and counseling certificate;
  5. Duly completed emigrant registration form;

Good luck!

Moved from spousal visas to regional forums as this is a regional question about exiting the country a specific way.

If your daughter is a USC, she doesn't need to attend.

The visa will be in the passport that is attached to the envelope with the cut corner. Do not open that envelope, just carefully detach your passport. Do not let anyone open that envelope with the cut corner until you arrive in the US and give it to the immigration officer at your POE.

Hey red thanks so much,well, I haven't received my visa yet but I was kinda thinking how to open it? What's the thing that I can't open? Where do I find the immigrant data summary?

You will receive a sealed packet. You will be able to see the passport through the plastic. You can cut a small part of the plastic so you can retrieve the passport. Do not open the yellow envelope inside the plastic.

I am not sure if K3 gets an Immigrant Data Summary. But it is a one-page insert on the visa packet with your information on it.

You can open the plastic bag, just don't open the envelope mark "DO NOT OPEN" that has the cut corner. My wife took her passport out then she left everything else in the plastic bag until POE.

K3 is a spousal visa, like the IR/CR-1. You should have a data summary sheet on the "DO NOT OPEN" envelope, simple photo copy that sheet for CFO.
