Sorry I'm answering g these threads via my iPhone while traveling in china so Internet and time slices to respond are rare.

Please see my timeline for questions regarding approval dates opposite interview dates.

Did I see someone post something about fast tracking g the US visa in GZ once the CO gives approval? We chose the CITIC bank (spelling?) in Guangzhou closest proximity to the US embassy. What are your thoughts on how fast CGI can get a visa stamped and give us back my wife's passport since we chose the Guangzhou CITIC?

"CITIC Bank has identified branch locations where you can pick up the passport on the same day as we receive it from the Embassy or Consulate General." Not same day of the interview.

We picked up my husband's passport from that very same branch (Zhu Jiang Xin Cheng) just yesterday. His interview was last Thursday and they told him processing would take two business days. The visa was issued on Monday per CEAC status and actual visa, but the passport didn't leave the consulate until Tuesday night which was when the passport tracking status changed to "origination scan". It became "ready for pick up" on Wednesday night like 8 PM. We didn't think the bank would be open that late so we went there on Thursday morning.
