RE: I-130 #22

Shouldn't you put Chicago, IL for the USCIS office instead of Los Angeles, CA?

I live in the SF Bay Area.

This is what I'm putting:

City: Chicago

State: IL

(And putting N/A for City/Country in the right half "If your relative is not eligible...")

...do others think I should put in San Francisco, CA instead of Chicago, IL?

Are they asking for where we want the interview to take place?

Thank you!

I'm a USC applying for an AOS with my spouse who is currently an F1.

USC and spouse went through AOS from F1

Now, removing conditions on permanent resident status.

a) You should look up your field office here (this is where you interview will be held.); http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=050d6c94d87c6210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=050d6c94d87c6210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

b) They are asking if you were to file from abroad where would you file. Try to look up your consulate here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/ or go to the US Embassy in France and you will find the info there.

Hope this helps.

Are you sure about this??

Im not being rude but Im gonna need a few more inputs from others to verify it.

on "b)" It simply states to fill it out only IF the relative IS NOT ELIGIBLE to adjust (in the US)

,they will have to go home and apply for a visa at a consular post there...so if u are adjusting status here you just write N/A.

Please anyone correct me if im wrong

I disagree with user "_me" as well.

If you are applying for AOS while residing in the USA, the City/State within the US should be the USCIS office that you're mailing the forms to (NOT the local field office). Furthermore, if you are eligible for AOS within the USA, you should put N/A in the American consular City/Country section.

USC and spouse went through AOS from F1

Yep, no consulate for concurrent AOS (put N/A). For "local office," it doesn't matter. Either your real local or Chicago is fine.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

So we have no options to give our own interview location? My Fiancee lives in Pittsburgh and I live in a small town in Pensylvania . So can't we have an option to schedule interview in Pittsburgh?
