So my husband finally has an interview date dancin5hr.gif after the case being completed on April,8 his appt is on the 14th of June. Does anyone know if exactly 2 weeks is enough time for the medical results to come back? Seems like they are cutting it pretty close with the Dr appt being on the 30th of May and the interview on the 14th of June ...and which place in Kingston is best to get your medical exam done at? Care and cost wise?

Any advice for the medical exam and interview is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance

My previous experience with the interview process was just a few years ago in China.

I don't think anything has changed since then, but someone can correct me if i am wrong.

The medical is not much more than getting some vaccinations and a brief examination. When we went through this before the medical was an easy pass, and documented for the actual interview the next day...so I don't think you need to worry.

Click on Portals, select Jamaica so you get information specific for Jamaica, then click on "Kingston Consulate Information" you will find the authorized doctors and prices for the medical.

I just did my medical Thursday at Mobay Hope and they advise to pick up my package two days before interview.

You husband need his immunization card, he will be given missing shots... devil.gif my left arm is aching after my shots on Thursday seriously I can hardly move my arm.. but the nurse did tell me it would happen.

Also I heard a discussion in the waiting area that effective May 1 the fee increased to $120USD from $110.

I did mine at mobay hope on feb of this year, luckly I had started my shots a few months prior me getting my

Interview date cause I could not find my immunization card, so I only got 2 shots at the medical

And yes my arm hurt for a whole week, once you call the authorized doctor and tell them your interview date they will give you a date on when is best.like I picked up my medical this thursday and my interview was the next week thursay.

Andrews & Medical Asscs. in Kingston. Andrews is a bit cheaper & a tad bit accepting of prior vaccine records

example I have heard some say that more vaccines gets tried to be given at Med Assoc.. If he already had measles

Andrews wont require him to get that shot, don't quite remember the fees my friend paid, but they only needed flu shot

I'd say let him take jmd$30,000 just to be safe, in 5-7 days they will tell you to pick up results. You have to take PP, interview

appt. letter, 4 photos, all medications you are taking & vaccine record if there's one.

Ok, thanks! I was wondering about previous vaccination too. He went to both places and he said the first place he went he didn't have a good experience with the receptionist. He said she was not professional and was very rude. The second place he said the person sat down with him and explained more to him about the upcoming exam. So the place that made him feel more comfortable will be the one he and my daughter will be attending.. Thanks again
