Comments : Immigration process was very smooth, was not sure what line to go in when i landed at JFK, I saw a immigration officer and asked her and she showed me what line to go in, once i got to the counter, the man asked me ''Whats your reason for travailing to the U.S''? i said, "to be will my husband i am a immigrant'' i wonder why he would ask that question since i am in the immigrant line, anyways he was like ''oooh ok do you have your package''? i said yes and handed it to him, he looked thru ever single sheet took him about 10 min, then he took a pic of me and took my finger print, and took me to a room with other immigrants, when i went in i was like omg i am gonna be here all night because there was quite a few people in that room, but to my surprise i sat for only 5 minutes and then my name was called, i had to put my finger print on a form and sign against my finger print, the guy said that's it, you can go and get your luggage now, i went to pick up my luggage, and now i have to pass thru customs and give them a form i had to fill out on the plane, i handed the form to the officer, he asked me how long i was staying.... " i was like '' i dont know i am a immigrant'' he was like '' oooh ok they did'nt put that on the form sorry so can i see your passport''? i showed it to him and and he just ok your can go. up until then i still did not know that was my last stop lol, i followed behind some people and i ended in the waiting area where a crowed of people was waiting for there love ones, that's when i noticed i was out, called my husband because i had signed up for roaming before i left ja, so my phone did work when i landed in the U.S. and that was it.

Embassy Review : Got to the embassy at 6:40 on march 28th 2013, for a 7:00 am interview. Joined the line outside the embassy which was moving very fast. We asked if my husband could come in with me, the security said yes aslong as he has identificatin, but he can't go in the interview with me, he can only stay in the court yard, when we got in to the check point, my husband had our phones and his PSP, lol. So we were exited out the builinding, so he decided the stay out side with the stuff while I go in. So I went back in the line and went thru check point, got down to the front desk and handed my interview letter then pick up the DHL yellow slip, I was assigned number 119, so I sat for about 45 minuites then I was called to do finger prints and hand in my medical, after doimg the finger pints I had to wait again, I must have sat for almost 2 hours, then my name was called, this was a male consulate, I walked up and said good morning with a smile, but he did not respond to that,he just said "can I have your passport?", thought that was rather rude but I just kept smiling while passed it to him,

CONSULATE: where did you meat ur husband?
ME. : We met on the job.
CONSULTE :Tell me a little bit more on how you met to the engagement to you getting married to now.

ME. : I gave him from start to finish, but in a short version, and he was typing while I spoke.

CONSULATE : how many times has he been back?

ME. : 5 times and this trip will be his 6th trip, cause he is here he is outside. (He looks surprised)

CONSULATE : Do u have pics of ur wedding and like any photos?

ME. : yes I have tuns of photos here you go,( I had a photo album my hubby made plus I had some loose pics I took) so he looked at them he did not ask me any questons on who in the photos or anything about my wedding. He scanned thru the pics fast, did'nt even look at all of them cause it was a lot.

CONSULATE : do u have phone log?
ME. : yes I do (I had a phone log must hace been 6 inches thick I had all my phone bills printed out cause I use "FLOW", it could hardly fit thru the little hole, lol)

CONSULATE : what's his number? ( when he looked at the numbers listed down on the pages they were all my husband number on every single page the duration time we spoke was crazy and it shows we spoke everyday) but it was too much for him to look at.

ME. : 347 blah blah blah

CONSULATE: do u have photo copy of his passport.

ME. : well matter of fact I have his passport, I handed me husband passport to him, cause I took it from my husband before going in, he lookd at it and saw all the travel back and forth.

CONSULATE : well seems like we are good, everthing looks good, before u travel to the U.S you will need to pay this new fee of 165.00 dollars you can log on to the UCSIS website and make the payment you can also track Visa on DHL by the way did you sign up on line?

ME : yes I did,
CONSULATE: can I have the reference form? (I gave it to him, then he said that's it and he gave me a little green card) then he said "this green card is to just show that ur VISA has been aproved.

ME : thank you, and have a great day.

So I left I looked at the time it was 9:30 I wanted to scream, I was so happy, now to tell my husband who have been waiting for 2 and a half hours, I went outside and I saw him accross the road waving to me, I went over with a sad face, and told him we will have to come back. He said "WHAT"!!!!. But I could not hold the smile in for long, I started laughing and i jumped up on him and said I was kidding I got approved, we just could not stop hugging and kissing and jumping, it was a amazing feeling
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
