Guangzhou Consulate Packets

We are currently waiting for the NVC to send our packet to the Guangzhou Consulate.

Once the Consulate receives our information and they send us the packets, is there any information that has to be sent back to them right away?

If so what?

Is most of it due on the document intake day before the interview?

Just want to be prepared and get things turned around as soon as possible. I have already sent the Consulate instructions, DS-230, DS-156, DS-157, and DS-156K forms to my fiancee to fill out. And I have ordered my tax transcripts, am working on the I-134, can print out pay stubs easily, my employment letter won't be a problem, and have plenty of continuing evidence. Anything else I could be missing?

Thanks!

Thank You Rob. Apologies, is some flux till we hear more about it.

There's one documented case so far, it's in the China Portal, I think so.

I believe the Packet 3 still follows the old process, no? That is, the CGI website isn't used until you're ready to schedule an appointment (Packet 4).

Doesn't hurt to look it over, though.

Hello,

Our case has been approved and forwarded to the embassy in Guangzhou on the 1st of August. I received a call on the 8th same month from the embassy asking me to email them my address in Chinese characters which I did. I registered an account on ustraveldocs but when I checked it from time to time there's no new information provided.

I'm wondering if I am doing it right as it was instructed by the person from the embassy because until now I haven't received anything yet. And tried to email them regarding my case but nothing really helps it's just a standard answer that my case has been updated and login in back to my account.

Does anyone know regarding packet 3? How can I know if the embassy has sent it out already? Any idea how to contact the embassy and speak to the person in charge not the machine? I appreciate any help...

Thank you!
