Suggestion of proof of visit

Hi everyone.

In January 2012, my fiancee visited me here in the States. I took her to my work for a quick visit to my co-workers at that time. There were a couple of pictures taken together. Although I have those pictures, none were date coded.

One of the managers suggested that I write out a small statement that says "We the undersigned do verify that Frank's fiancee, (her name), was here on (date, time) and we have seen them together." Then have it notarized.

This sounds like a great idea to me because, at the very least, it will confirm the date of the pictures I'm sending. However, I'd like you guy's opinion of this.

Thanks again for your help.

Frank

Plane ticket stubs and passport stamps from her visit would work better as primary supporting evidence. Feel free to send some pictures as well just know that pictures are counted as secondary evidence.

My question is where does it say pictures have to be dated and coded? Any real relationship one is in and takes pictures do not think of doing that unless they are scrapbooking or something. I really don't think they care about dates and such unless you take a picture in the snow and visited her on an island in the summer (thats obvious). From experience with my first husband that I petitioned for they never asked for that so I don't see why you would need a statement like that. If I was a CO Id think you wou are over doing it and would raise my suspicions. But I don't work for USCIS. Good Luck

They do not have to be so called coded or even dated necessarily the point is that you need to have met within 2 years of your filing date but could be sending in pictures taken 5 years ago for example. That is why you MUST include primary evidence suce as plane tickets or passport stamps. Pictures although they help support your case are only supporting and are not necessary to establish that you have met within 2 years.

Thanks everyone.

We do have our passport stamps and the few airline tickets we have. We've got some pics for secondary proof. :-)
