My wife had her interview in Manila today and was approved and they kept her passport, but she was told they could not process her visa as of yet because they did not have her Hong Kong CNCC and gave her a 221(g) stating the same. They told her to check online at the CEAC Visa Status website in 2 weeks. I just called the Hong Kong Police CNCC office and the gentleman that took my call and looked the information up told me they sent the CNCC to the U.S. Embassy on April 24, 8 days ago Hong Kong time.

Wait a few days. Call to enquire if they received the certificate Hong Kong sent/mailed.

The embassy should issue the visa after they receive the police cert. Then you're good to go!

Thanks Boggy1974,

That is our plan to call the Embassy number or send them an email in a few days. My wife told me the consular that interviewed her asked when she applied for her Hong Kong CNCC (Certificate of No Criminal Conviction) when my wife answered the consular said maybe it be there soon. So it is just to wait a little more as this visa process jopurney is always hurry up and wait for us. lol

As the lion said in the movie The Wizard of OZ, ain't it the truth ain't it the truth.

Thank you Tllanos for your wish of happiness, and I hope your journey is a smooth one.

Thought I would upload a photocopy of my wife's 221(g) from the U.S. Embassy Manila as a sample.
