I am getting ready to fill out the i-864 Affidavit of Support for my husband since his case is going through again. The first time it went through I didnt make enough and I tried to use the fact that I dont pay rent as income (its a valid loophole) but it was denied. This time two things have changed. First, I got a better job as a General Manager of a Motel 6 and my income is now around $32,000. And, my oldest son (I have 2 other children under the age of 18) is now 18 and has his own income and is no longer my dependant.

So should I:

Sponsor him myself with my income and proof that my oldest son is not longer my dependant?

Or:

Sponsor him jointly with my son as a "household"
