Affidavit of Support Approval Notice?

I waited about 2 weeks to see if I would recieve an Email or any type of notification that my AOS packet was approved or RFE'd or just anything and decided to call NVC to ask if they even recieved my AOS packet or not. The person we spoke to said the AOS packet was fine and everything was good and that you don't recieve any verification of this at all and it just kind of made me paranoid (after 10 months of waiting on the whole process). Not to go against what the person doing their job said but I think this is the first time we haven't recieved anything by email concerning documents and just wanted to verify that this is correct and nothing is a good thing considering AOS approval.

Normally NVC doesn't send out AOS acceptance emails but you may receive a 'false checklist' requesting the Immigrant Visa. Calling them directly is the easiest way to confirm the AOS or IV has been accepted. Some members here have received (myself included) 'Case complete emails' about a week after the case has been completed at NVC, but even that is not guaranteed.

At NVC its all abt calling if u want to know what's up. You get a case complete about 5 to 7 days after they case complete u. And of course the interview letter.

I agree with dwheels76. I never got an email when they accepted the AOS packet (ended up getting the false checklist for the DS-230 instead), nor with the DS-230 packet (I did get a checklist for a missing document though), nor the case complete. I had to call them two weeks after I mail them something to get any updates. I hate to sound like I am complaining, especially since I LOVED working with NVC much more than USCIS, but sometimes you have to call them if you really want to know or get the latest updates.
