Adopted Child Immigration, Custody Issues

On USCIS website, I see this:

An adopted child is considered, for immigration purposes, to be the child (or adult son or daughter) of the adopting parent if:

1, The parent adopted the child before his or her 16th birthday (or before the 18th birthday under certain circumstances as described below). You submit evidence of a full and final adoption

2, The parent had legal and physical custody of the child for at least two years while the child was a minor

Now my question is:

1, What is the definition of "minor"? 18 years old? or 21?

2, If my adopted child live in his school for weekdays, but stay in my home each weekend, does this qualify for "phisical custody"?

be aware that visa officers look very carefully at adopted children. the children's parents must be documentably dead, or severely incapacitated in order for the children to gain immigration benefits thru adoption. high fraud countries are examined especially thoroughlty in such cases. if not, then just about everybody immigrating thru marriage or other means would have "several adopted children".
