I know this has probably been answered before but I can't find anything relevant and to be honest my nerves are soooooo frayed I figured I better jump on here and ask.

We initialy received text notification 18th April that we had an RFE. My fiance just let me know that today he got another text notification. I looked on the USCIS website and the RFE date has now been changed to the 24th April from the original date of 18th April.

Does this mean there are two RFE's coming our way or is it normal? We haven't hard any hard copies yet.

Argh the stress!!!!!!

Same thing happened to ours. We received RFE notice via email Feb. 14, 2013, and received the same notice 5 days after. On our hard copy, it was dated Feb. 19, 2013..So, most likely the second notice is the date they send the hard copy..

I-130 Submitted ---- 09/16/2011

NOA 1 ---- 09/21/2011

I-130 Approved ------ 04/30/2013

NVC Case Number -- 05/14/2013

Medical Exam ------ 05/28/2013

Case Complete ------- 08/06/2013

Interview -------- 09/09/2013

Visa Arrived ---------- 10/17/2013

POE SFO ------------- 10/21/2013

Delays maybe inevitable, but misery is optional!

There have been quite a few others asking the same questions. I did an RFE search on this forum and it turns out the first notice is when the decision is being made. Although the notice says an RFE was mailed, it isn't mailed till you receive the second notice. Good luck on your RFE, I just got one also.

Thank you, good luck to you too! Just wondering why so many RFEs in the past few days. Is it just because more cases are being processed? When you get your letter, please share your info on the other thread I started regarding "April RFEs". Curious to hear what sort of corrections USCIS is asking for.

Hmmm....I wonder if I'm going to go through the same thing. I just got an RFE by e-mail/text. I wonder how long until I get the hard copy? After doing some looking at processing times and statistics, it seems as though people usually get their approval within about a month of receiving the RFE...do you think that's true?

Sincerely,
Ramsey
