My husband entered April 7, 2012. We married May 2012. He got his combo card in August. We have not heard anything other than the permanent residency is pending. It's time to file to renew the combo card and USCIS said just file new applications. How will they connect all of that to the same file? What forms should we use? There's not a "renewal" form?

BTW, he did travel out of the country on his AP and had no problems! Everything has gone smoothly, I just assumed we would have gotten the green card by now so didn't plan on this next round of paper work.

Thanks for the advice! This forum has brought us successfully through every step of the way!

You need a new I-131 and a new I-765. Include a copy of the NOA1 from the I-485. There is no "combo card renewal." The two forms are put into one document for your convenience.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Just as an update, we called to check why the Green card was taking so long and confirm that we should begin filing the extensions for his combo card. The man was really helpful and said there was no reason for things to be taking so long. Within two weeks, we had the green card in hand!!!! Now we just enjoy two years, file for the permanent, permanent residency (I find it an oxymoron that the permanent residency card is temporary dancin5hr.gif ) and keep living! Thank you VJ for all the help....I did it all by following every piece of advice on here!!!! I truly appreciate it!
