Can anyone tell me how long does it take to get my case number :( I got my noa2 on march 27,2013 but still haven't got my case number from nvc :( the reason I opened a new thread is cause I need to know how long more do I have to wait. Is there someone else going through the same situation? Or anyone that has experienced the same issue, please share with us and if from same country that would be great. Thank you

Sorry If I am misunderstanding this but have you called NVC for the case number? It's my understanding you have to call to get a case number, otherwise you wait for them to forward it to the US embassy and then they will send out a packet 3 with the case number.

So if you haven't called yet.. call them tomorrow.

Go to the K-1 Flowchart (in the GUIDES, at the top of the page), get the phone number for the NVC and call them on Monday, to get your casefile number.

Good luck!

As I'm very confused and worried. Iam so sorry not to mention I called them almost everyday since I got my noa2 and all I get from the nvc is that they haven't received anything from uscis. I even called uscis and they told me that they have sent the file over to uscis the day they send me my noa2 hard copy.

In order to get a case number... you case must first leave the uscis and be transferred to the NVC... so you must first find out if NVC have received your case...if they have.. give them about 10 business days to assign you a case number...
