Great... now I am sure we will get a RFE :(

We sent only the I-485 and EAD app but my husband didn't want to send in the AP form, he didn't think he would need it because the form asked for 'planned travel dates'. But we sent in the Cashiers check for $1070.00 for two forms only (AOS and EAD), I wonder if they will send the whole packet back since the check is made out for amount of the three forms instead of two?

Also we only enclosed two photos for the AOS and didn't realize we had to have two more photos for the EAD!

*sigh*... :o

The $1070 is for the I-485. AOS is $1070 with or without the I-765 and I-131. The EAD and AP are optional, but I suggest people file for both so they can work and travel and re-enter the US while waiting on the green card. They are free with a pending I-485 so why not?

Some people have gotten an RFE for more photos, and some have not. I think it depends on who adjudicates your case file.

You do not have to have specific dates. You put unknown for date and length of trip, and tick the box for more than one trip. No explanation statement is needed. The form is pretty short and easy to fill out. You can go ahead and send it in after you get the NOA receipt notice from filing the I-485. Include a copy of that receipt notice with your I-131 and other supporting documents and the fee will still be waived. The green card approval has been taking quite awhile for some people lately. It is good to have the AP just in case you decide to travel or an emergency comes up that makes you need to leave the country before the green card is approved.

This is good to know! Because you are right, we don't know if an emergency will occur (Hope that it doesn't) but its better to be safe than sorry! I'd hate for hubby to not be allowed back in for re-entry!
