Hi Guys - now that we have gotten our NOA2 we are anxiously awaiting NVC to confirm reciept of our package. so I have a few questions -

1. how will I know when my package arrives at NVC? I was told to start calling after a week of NOA2, but not sure what I am really calling for...will they give me a new reciept number? please enlighten me...

2. will I need the original of my fiance's birth cert at this stage (NVC)? I can get it when I visit him next week, but want to be sure, because obviously he will need it for his interview as well.

3. Anything besides the DS forms I will need him to sign?

I appreciate any insite, as I said before, I read the guide, but was clearly not following...

thanks VJ friends :star:

1, call and get the new embassy case number, ask if its been sent to the embassy/consul yet.

2, you send nothing and do nothing with the NVC K-1 is NOT processed through the NVC it is only given a case number and forwarded directly to the embassy/consul.

3, find out for your country what is needed at the K-1 interview. Some require specific forms. You can find out usually by going to the website of the embassy/consul or posting in your regional country forum.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
