I just got my NOA2 in the mail, with no notice by email or text message. I'm VERY surprised. Apparently, it was issued on the 11th. Best of luck to everyone hoping for the NOA2... it might be in the mail as we speak!

congratulations!!kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

Woooow !! Congratulations to both of you, it is indeed very heart-warming to hear :) My NOA-1 is in December as well so maybe there is hope that the CSC will start cranking everyone's NOA-2 soon. I'd reeeaaaallyyy like to get mine by July because that is when we had initially planned our wedding B-)

Sincerely,
Ramsey

congrats and dont feel bad for us july filers. it isnt your fault and i am just happy for you. cheers!

How come it took 3 months to get your NOA1 after filing?

And I cant believe they approved people from early July over 4 months ago, but you have to wait since you are past July 18! :o

i am sorry if it took me forever to respond. i am rather new to this site and cant figure out how to see previous posts that may have replied to what i wrote.

so to answer your question, here is the lowdown....on april 14 2012, my fiance sent in our petition. we waited for a month, then he said just wait a bit longer on it coz no news can sometimes mean good news. that our file is probably thru the first phase. but nope. on the last week of june or 1st week of july, the entire paperwork was sent back because according to them, he missed a blank that should have been indicated with an N/A(it would have been nice to hear from them 2 to 3 months earlier but my fiance said we cant complain to uscis about this). so he indicated that and double-checked the whole stuff to make sure it doesnt get rejected again and sent it back in on july 18.(we were hoping they already tagged our file as submitted on 4/14 but nope.

That is when we received a notice thru email on july 30 that our file was received only july 26th and not 4/14 as we hoped.

Rather frustrating and i wanted to blame my fiance for not following it up when i told him to but that is life...cest la vie:)

and now that we are finding out that all those files submitted earlier than july 18 got the easier route, i wanted to die....

and it gets better. the nov & dec filers are getting their early approvals and even my co july 26 or later(aug, sept & oct) filers are already getting noa2s here and there but still no word from our file. it makes me want to think if we should just give up.

so there is the very painful answer to why we are still waiting close to 9 months now :crying:
