Hello all K1-Visa applicants out there! My fiancé and I have just become engaged on Feb 26 and are in the process of starting to gather documents for the K1-VIsa to file the petition. He lives in the US and I live in Australia. We met online last August and he flew here in November to meet my family and I. I flew there to meet his family and friends in February which is when we got engaged. Reading all this info has somewhat overwhelmed me. I have been through the guides. So far I have a cover letter as well as the I-I29F form and G-325 form filled out by both of us. What is the next step? We have a lot of photos of him with some of my family and I with his family and with each other. So i'll be printing original photos of those. I'll also be including the letter of intent. Any help would be greatly appreciated as to what I need to send to him so that he can file for the petition. Thank you!

Passport photos to go with the 325 forms for each of you. Evidence loads of it.

Follow the step by step guide it tells you the forms and items you need.http://www.visajourn...content/k1guide

If you need to, print the list off and cross off items as you go down the list to make sure you have everything. Also check out the instructions sheet for other info such as who to make the payment to and where to send everything. http://www.uscis.gov...i-129finstr.pdf

Good luck with everything! The list here was very helpful for me. I did exactly as Inky said. I printed the list and check marked everything as I added it to the packet. Make sure you add as much evidence of your relationship as possible!

Just follow the guides, compare the VJ information to USCIS and you should be good to go. Both of you review each others work, keep a copy of everything you send in and use USPS tracking.
