I would love to be there in Nigeria when he goes to interview...how much notice to we get?

Currently the " heads up" runs aboiut 2 months for Lagos which can change at any time though.

You will be given enough notice prior to the interview date. This should prepare you to get ticket, visa and etc. before hand. Good luck

Spouses cannot go into the interview, they usually have to wait outside.

But the Beneficiary can take the spouse's passport into the interview to make the CO aware their spouse is present.

Yeah I heard we cant go in...but ill be outside waiting for the outcome.

I just want to be there for him to celebrate or worse case scenario...be there to console each other and find out what our next move will be.

Having you there, even while waiting outside helps both of you with the intense emotions the day brings. Either way, whatever the outcome of the decision the CO gives, it is great to be with one another to face the music.

Having a spouse outside can also give the petitioner the upper hand in the interview. When the CO wants to put their own spin on the facts you can declare that you want to have them explain that to the petitioner and that they are outside. Be sure to rent a chair if they aren't having a place for you to sit.

Personally if they don't request my appearance then i will not show my face some of those security can be very annoying and tend to embarrass you in public
