hi guys,

I am trying to fill ds-260 and I had 2 questions:

My spouse does not remember the exact dates of the previous year work and education...so do we just approximate....can that create a problem in the future?

secondly my spouse is from health profession so what do we answer to this question:

Are you a health care worker seeking to perform such work in the United States but have not yet received certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools or from an equivalent approved independent credentialing organization?

I am confused....any help appreciated!!!'

I put NO in mine for the second question. Health workers need a license to work and has to pass the exam given by the US to get one. That's what I was told.

How did you change your embassy and how long did it take to do that?

It took me a about a month maybe less. I just emailed according to the format u know how you email the NVC, DOB OF petitioner and beneficiary case number , in my case, attached the labor card of that country ( They just want to see you are eligible to stay in the country on the basis you request, such as my spouse works there). I requested in my email that the embassy to be changed from Pk to ABD. You have to specify. First you have to call them and ask which is a nearby embassy. For my specific country even though my spouse is in Dubai, they need to travel about 1-2 hours to ABD because that is the only one embassy available in the country.

But overall the changing of embassy process was very smooth and easy . They did it over email, however, they did not tell me in email it was changed. I had to call and ask every week or so if it was changed and they told me yes and so therefore my case number changed as well. If you need any help , let me know!

I am glad to help. Inbox me :)

Thank you so much for the answer !

Yes, you can! I called and asked them since my AOS is not near to complete as I have to rely someone else for sponsoring.

So its better to get in the IV documents in and start the 30 business days clock.

Because in case you get a RFE, you have extra time on hand to do it , rather than waiting to send both at same time.

But that's what I did, you can always call to ask and make sure to put your bar-coded page for IV in front of the docs. Even if you don't have the bar coded page for IV , there is a way around that as well! Let me know if you don't!

I'm having same thing and thinking they've started working on it because i couldn't click on it before and i can now. Also, before it was showing my son's name but now its not showing both my wife's and son's name. So i'm assuming they are working on it.

Guys,

I have a quick question re the IV processing fee. I just checked the CEAC website and the IV fee shows as "Not Paid", however when I click on "Pay" it takes me to the fee webpage, but it doesn't show the fee to pay it. Does anyone know what might be going on?

I appreciate your help!

Thanks!

si no te ha llegado el correo con el cobro, no podras hacer el pago ellos te enviaran un correo indicandote que necesitas.

I'm having same thing and thinking they've started working on it because i couldn't click on it before and i can now. Also, before it was showing my son's name but now its not showing both my wife's and son's name. So i'm assuming they are working on it.

When did you submit your DS-261?

That's what I'm thinking. I guess they're working on it and they're getting ready to send an e-mail to pay the IV fee. When did the IV fee change from "Not available" to "Not pay"?

I submitted DS-261 on 09/23/13

Thanks for your quick response!
