Hey guys,

I've been looking over the assembly instructions for the I-130 package and have not found anything on just plain assembling everything together. Should I be putting all these documents together in a folder, portfolio-folder, etc. etc.. Should I be paper clipping certain documents together and/or keeping all the documents separate and clipped to similar documents? EX: Forms clipped together, birth certificate/Passport copies together, etc..

I'm just kind of at a loss as to what goes where and how to put it all together as I'm left with all of my documents and forms but no idea where to put them. It clearly mentions no binders or folders, and to use ACCO fasteners. However, mentions not to use ACCO fasteners when sending to Chicago lockbox (which is where I am sending our forms).

Regarding this, is it acceptable to just file this all together, using ACCO fasteners with the appropriate folder (manilla folders, envelopes with only one opening at the top?) when sending it to the Chicago lockbox?

I apologize for sounding like an absolute newbie at this, but I am. Me and my wife are both 22 and just trying to get through this without losing our hair over the stress and small details!

Any and all help is really appreciated. Thanks so much, and wish the best of luck to everybody!!

Just put things in a pile. USCIS will undo whatever you do and make it their way, so any folder or other extraneous material will be thrown away promptly. If you want to clip things together, you can use a paperclip or jaw clip.

There are no instructions about it because no special instructions are needed.

And no, it is not acceptable to use ACCO fasteners when it says not to do it!
