I have contacted my Senator's office and two lawyers for help. No luck. Here are obstacles they present:

#1. "CSC is doing fine, there is nothing wrong." How to respond. You can't say there are a bunch of people complaining on the internet. This response does not fly and makes you look inept. All I have been able to find are statistics from USCIS through January. Their stats show approvals dropped to the lowest level in the last two years, about 400 per month. Plus, comparing the completions to receipts show a shortage of about 1000 per month. However, some months the CSC completes almost 4000 I-129s in one month. So, they conceivabley catch up in 1 month. Which makes our complaint very weak. The problem is we do not know what happened in February or March.

#2- You can't in line, it wouldn't fair. This is what the Senator's person told me and one lawfirm. So, how to respond to this??

#3- You can't even complain unless you are beyond the normal processing time. I know the July 18 date has been stated for a month or two. Does anybody know how long this has been their position? I can't beleive they are allowed to leave this date in place for more then one month.

Here is what I thought was a good question for the senator's office. If she won't help me now ( I am at 6 months), at what point would she be willing to intervene? 7 months, 8 months etc. She didn't answer this question. I have decided to follow up in writing with her on this point.

Anyway, I don't know if this post is clear or inchorent. I am pretty wiped out tonight. But, at least I have tired. And, now you know what to watch out for if you do get somebody on the phone.

I believe the July 18th date has been there for 3 months. Other people on this website say 4 months. Don't know if anyone really knows but it's been a long time!!!!

I spoke with a guy from my Congressman's office, a representative at a local USCIS office, and several tier 1 representatives. They are all completely and utterly useless. If they are not willing to help you, then no matter what you say, they will just give you stupid excuse. You can't reason with them, just like you can't reason with a kid who haven't done his homework and is trying to make up silly excuses for his irresponsibility.

There is a popular VJ thread about emailing the CSC director: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/421413-how-many-supporters-are-here/page__st__120. I encourage you to join the effort. It may help, or it may not. But it is probably more effective than asking some useless person for help.

If you are looking for help from a Senator perhaps Elizabeth Warren might be the Senator to contact? Sure the CSC is not the service center for Massachusetts but she's very consumer-oriented so she might take up an issue like this.
