Bank statements are only needed when you're using assets to make up for a lack of income to meet the requirements.

Unless you are asked do not send bank statements. Call the IRS and have them send you your tax transcripts for the last three filings. The transcripts are free and they should arrive in two weeks.

My husband went to an IRS office today and walked out with the transcripts. So if you don't want to wait, and can get to an IRS office, that is also an option. :)

i used a visa service in the Philippines and this lady is insisting i have a have a bank statement with my i-134 when i resubmit it for the interview this is so frustrating i already can show in pay stubs i made more than 18 k this year and im only 3 months into this year she is still telling me this? " we can waive not to submit bank statements, if only the petitioner has a regular job or income for the past 2 years straight." iv been a boilermaker for 5 years and working as a personal care aid for 3 years both are seasonal. this is getting fustrating

Why are you using a visa service? Sounds like this service has a serious issue understanding the instructions that come with the I-134. It clearly states in the instructions income OR assets, not income AND assets. Assets are only needed if you're attempting to overcome a lack of income. And yes showing a bank statement without savings in it is not going to help on the asset side anyway. Fire the idiots at the visa service and do it yourself.
