I have a question to those who have an appointment date soon in the Dominican Republic...

How much time does it take from the NVC letter with the case number, until you finally get in the mail the packet 4 in the DR?

Is the mail actually working?... Thank you in advance for your responses.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

It varies. I'm estimating 6-8 weeks. It's best to prepare for the interview before you actually receive the packet.

Check out the thread below:

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20

You should call the Embassy about a month after NVC sends it to find out if it is there and to ask for your appointment date. If the letter doesn't arrive 15 days before your appointment, then you need to call them to schedule a date to pick up the packet 4.

I am the USC.

Thank you. We might have to do that, I saw the timeline of a couple who received their NOA 2 on Feb. 28 and they have their interview in late April. My NOA 2 is from March 4th, the NVC letter was mailed the 18 of March and now we should wait a little more before calling.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

do you need this letter from NVC? It should be enough to call in, get a Human, give over the USCIS receipt #, then get the Consular Casefile # from the Human

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

We've got the letter from the NVC. We are waiting for the packet 4, with the interview information, but we are going to call in the meantime. Thanks
