Hello everyone,

I'm currently leaving in France with my Girl friend and we are planning to go to the US in 1/1,5 year.

My Girl friend: French-American citizen (both nationality) living in France since 4 years

Me: French working in a consulting firm (IT field)

Us: We are planning to go to the US and are looking for the best/easiest way. We are living together (in the same appartement in France) since 3 years and are together since almost 5 years.

After all the information I saw on the different forums, it seams that the best way for us is to get married in France and 10 month before we want go to the US ask for a K-3/CR-1 visa.

Is there any one who where in our situation ? and who can confort me or advice me ?

Thanks a lot for you help

K3s are obsolete.

You will file an I-130 for CR1. If you list both of your addresses as in France, then there is a good chance that it will be a processed a little more quickly.

Start thinking about how your girlfriend will show that she intends to re-establish domicile in America - unexpired driver's license, American bank accounts, voting via absentee ballot, etc.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.
