Good day to all of you...

I was wondering if you can enlighten me on the process of scheduling our K1 Visa Interview? After paying the visa fee and then going online; will the Embassy give you the date and time or is there a choice to choose from?

Thanks for any input on the matter. Note that we are going for our interview at the US Embassy in Manila.

Yes there are dates that you can choose from but im not sure with the time, as far as i can remember i chose the date then the time appeared on the appointment letter so i assume that they assign the time you choose the date and then they will send the appointment letter to your email address both the time and date and you will need to print that out :) God bless your journey

Chinook and I went through the process before online scheduling was available. We didn't schedule Chinook's interview through the call center either. Actually, I scheduled Chinook's interview appointment directly with the IV Unit at the Embassy. It was very easy, but I doubt if they allow that anymore. :)

From what I've read here on VJ (and it may be outdated), when you schedule online, the system gives you a very limited amount of time to choose an interview date before the system times out. If that's still the case, it would be a good idea to have a few interview dates in mind before you reach that screen. Also, they say you should remember your password and your UID number because you will need it again.

According to some VJers, once you've made an appointment online, you can go back in and get an earlier appointment date. I wish I had bookmarked one of those threads which explained how to do it.

Does anyone have any updates on VJ member JeWcHee's instructions on how to schedule an interview online, or VJ member

I hope those with recent experience will chime in.

I tried on line but kept having issues so I called and scheduled. I called at 6:50pm, was on hold I think about 11 mins and then done by about 7:10pm. It was easy. If you choose this method, have your fiancée on Skype as you may have some questions for her. The person I talked with was very nice and did not mind me talking with my fiancée on line to get some answers. Check my past posts on this topic as It was very easy. At that time we could have scheduled an interview within two weeks but of course we were not prepared for that fast of a timeline. They allowed us to choose the date that was best for us.

Good luck

Shawn
