I started the whole process in May of 2012. My fiance is residing in the Philippines. Because of difficulties concerning his birth certificate we were unable to get a passport, but thankfully tht has been resolved. Our only problem is the petition date was valid from august 2012 to december 2012. We were about to set an interview and medical but im worried that they wont accept because the oetition is not valid. I heard a consulate can revalidate the petition for another 4 months. How do i contact them? So far the numbers that ive been calling was no help to me. They kept redirecting me to different lines. How do i get in contact with a consular officer directly to get the petition revalidated?

Also my fiance went to the US embassy in manila to ask how to revalidate. The response was from a clerk was that the petition doesnt really expire and we should just go ahead and schedule a medical.

HELP!!!

**** Moving from K1 Progress Report to K1 Process for more answers ****

Usually, when you keep in touch with the embassy they will automatically re-validate.

Once the Embassy has the case, the petition dates are meaningless. They have full control of it. Dont' worry about that.
