Quick question, does NVC use the priority dates when scheduling interviews also? For example if 8 cases for IR/CR 1 are waiting for interview dates at the same time, do they give the person with the earliest priority date the earliest interview date available? Just curious :)

We have tried to figure out a theory on this in the APRIL INTERVIEWS thread but its all guesses. On mar 5th a bunch of Nigerians got interview dates assigned. I had the earliest case complete date among the group but the newest I-130 PD . The interview date was assigned in order of the PD from what we could all see. I think if there are quite a number of people frm a country needing to be given dates at one time, it could be in that order but subsequent individual case completes assigned much later may get a date even earlier than those people. I say that since another Nigerian who had a CC weeks after me just get her date and the interview is before mine.

Like I said , it is all just guess work on our part :D

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!

I called and asked this question and guess what? Your guess was right! they do go by PD if there are more than one ptitiion in the pipe waiting for the interview date at THE SAME CONSULATE.

If you don't mind me asking how does thins PD thing works anyways ??

Priority date is the date when USCIS received your petition.

let's say my priority date is 07/05/2012 and you priority date 05/04/2012 and for some reason our cases get approved in the same time 03/13/2013. NVC will push for your case to receive an interview date first then mine. because your Priority date is earlier than mine.
