Well, I was here in the morning and found a feature that allowed me to find other people that used the Rio de Janeiro Consulate to file for their visas... now, in the afternoon, I just can't seem to find the link I had used before!! :(

This website is just perfect, I haven't seen one as complete as it is! And because of that, now I'm lost! LOL!

Please please, any help?

Also,

go to the members page:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?act=Members (Also on top of every page on upper right).

On that page go to the bottom ish of the page on the right and there is a box to "Toggle more options". By doing this you can search for members based on far more categories including country :).

(originally posted 2006-11-29 elsewhere and I'd erase the other if I could---and this post is slightly different now that the original)

I received an email from a fellow VJer suggesting that I cut 'n' paste my post elsewhere. I am not the sort of person who is likely to begin my own separate topic and am more inclined to post in a topic that I think is linked to my own question. If this is inappropriate, you are welcome to tell me off. :)

======================================

I don't know where else to look. (Yes, I *do* searches.)

I'm CONFUSED! about all the different timelines

Yes, yes, I joined in Jan of 2006, but I am only recently active because we were trying to cram in a music festival (involving me going to the US) before filing to begin the K-1.

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list...da&dfile=No

Under this url it lists XX days for our total. After some backwards and forwards arithmetic I arrived at the conclusion that the number of days---at this point---is calculated from the time the packet left my boyfriend's fingertips to whatever is the current date.

However, when I go to the page http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php it only lists "filing" to "interview." Is the "filing" date the same as mailed date or is it NoA1 date---and *which* NoA1 date? In historical trends, it has filing to NoA2---and then I have to figure out how many weeks and days to approximately add to that based on the K-1 flow chart in Guides.

We are going through Nebraska and Canada is the outside country. Average total days to interview was 189* for K-1 and immediately below that is the graph showing 192 days---from "initial filing." Is that 192 days from the time the I-129f left my boyfriend's fingertips to the interview or from the filing date of NoA1 or from the day that *he* got the NoA1 in the mail?---or is it something else? And, why does it say 189 days in the written part? What are the 189 days?

I-129f left bf's fingertips 2006-10-12

NoA1 filing date in CSC 2006-10-18

NoA1 received by snail 2006-10-28

That means that the date on the document says October 18, but the bf didn't receive it until October 28. Hence, the question about *which* NoA1 date is used.

Yes, I know that I have wandered all over with this post, but I wanted to be sure to cover all the points of confusion. Each of the graphs tells a different story. Overall total it is from filing to interview. If I go to the graph for NSC it goes from filing to NoA2. I find it difficult to make a comparison between the average overall total and the average total for NSC since the total for NSC is not using the same data.

PS:

Advanced searches using +timeline+explanation return only results that contain the word timeline---which is not helpful.

==============================

At this point, I no longer even look at the NSC info as it is drastically less (by about 70 days) than the overall average of all service centres and does not go from beginning to the crux of yes or no like the overall average does.

Previous lists moved to "Story" section
