Pretty much cus the counsular know its not common in pak to have court marraiges. Plus u would need evidence of marriage ceremony as in pictures with ur spouse and family/gathering

Get married the way you want. It's your marriage. They will have to accept it later on.

A court marriage is a legal marriage, but if it is unusual in your country then yes, it will be seen as odd/ a red flag. Same with his family not agreeing- in many cultures, including Pakistan, it is important for the family to agree to a match. Also keep in mind that the COs often do field investigations- they may go to his neighbourgood and ask the people there about you as a couple, or his work, or ask his family. If they get told "he is a good single boy", or "oh yes they used to date and were considering marriage, but decided not to because his father disapproves" then that will be very bad.

It doesn't mean you will definitely be denied, but it will make it much more difficult to get approved.

Who is the petitioner here? And if he cant tell his family then oh well it should be a redflag for u even not just the CO
