First, I would like to thank VJ community for awesome people who take time to help and give info.

It was only last Friday, March 1, when I found out on this site that CEMAR (Marriage Index) is needed during the VISA INTERVIEW :bonk: . This isnt included in the Appointment Letter sent to me by the NVC. Never heard of this. When I came across this term, I thought it's similar to MC from the NSO. My American lawyer never mentioned this (dont want to bother him anymore)!

My docs folder has been ready since December 2012 for my interview. I had plenty of time then. And few days before my interview I found out about my need for CEMAR (5-10 days processing) . My interview is on March 6, 2013. OK, I have my CENOMAR issued April 25, 2012. I got married May 14, 2012.

I will go to the NSO early morning March 4 and will request for a rush release. In case, they can't release a CEMAR for me that fast, do you think my CENOMAR will confirm that I didnt have any other marriage between April 25, 2012 to May 14, 2012  ? CEMAR shows number of marriages, right? The Filipino pre-screener should honor this, I thought.

Thank you for any feedback. God bless everyone.

No, CENOMAR will only states that your not married before.

going to NSO tomorrow is a good idea, but I doubt they can rush it. You better go to your interview and if ever you get form 221g for not having CEMAR then you just have to wait for it to be released and submit immediately to USEM.

Good luck!

Nothing in this world worth having comes easy.

Yup, praying for God's favor upon me as I talk to NSO people, and then the CO. Thanks so much! :)

As far as I've read here on VJ, beneficiaries of F2A/CR1/IR1 has been asked to submit CEMAR (Advisory on Marriages) on their interview day.

Not all was required to submit but some has been asked, so to be on the safe side, just bring it.

I believe that no matter if you are married or if you are single, either way, you apply for a CENOMAR. Then, if you have never been married, the NSO will issue you a CENOMAR. If you have been married, the NSO will issue you a "CRS Form No. 5 - Advisory on Marriages." I believe the "CRS Form No. 5 - Advisory on Marriages" is also called a "CEMAR" or a "Marriage Index."

CRS Form No. 5 - Advisory on Marriages
