Expectantly i am not familiar with Canadian laws....but why not she ask help from the government agency which takes care of cases like these? its a bit difficult to believe that there practically isnt anyone who can help her...not even a classmate from Nursing School.. not one relative? You mean to say all 21 years of her life she has no other interpersonal relationship other than her mother? (with you as an exception )...anyway...i can never judge her situation...or anyone's, was just critically thinking....

anyway...first...no matter what..she's still her mom...why not she report to i dunno government agency or non gov agency that can help...a senator? any politician? perhaps a public mental institution that can take away her mom and offer treatment...her mom needs needs it badly....it would be a win-win situation...her mom gets aide...she would be at peace in their own house...and when she leaves the country to be with you..she is assured that her mother is being taken care in an institution...

we are now expecting our first baby! :goofy: (L) :dancing: (F) :star:  :jest:

Been 3 weeks so far. MTL is slow I have been told.

Contact MTL via email, put your MTL number as the subject. Tell them about the situation and ask if you can speed up the process. There is no harm in asking, Montreal has been lenient before in these types of situations.

Or call the DOS and ask if P4 has been mailed yet. If it has she should be able to go online and book her appointment right now.

Is it possible the mother could have intercepted packet 4? Or are you corresponding with MTL via email?

What do you mean by 'give in to appease her mother'? She is very close to getting the visa, and as much as it sucks the best thing to do is have patience and wait it out.

:thumbs:Hang in there.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I posted before, but my fiancee mother is highly mentally abusive, and has my fiancee Livia scared to the point she may not have sent in the packet 3 yet. It's a long story I won't get into, but basically the mass amount of abuse she is going through is making her think of giving up since she is now torn between her mother, and myself. How long do we have before the paperwork defaults from not sending in a packet 3? I'm trying my best to get through to her, but it's going slow at best. I believe we got our packet 3 in november. I remember there was a time limit, I just need to know how long I have before it's all for nothing. :(

Check your NOA2 approval note - the petition is generally valid for 4 months after it has been approved. Afterwards the consulate may extend the validation period for another 4 months, as far as I know.

November 13th, I've called a lot since at first, it seems it was lost in the mail, and I have an email where I shot to montreal asking if they had it, they said they did not. so hopefully if that is the case where they extend it. It's hard to beat an abusive mother when the government is the one dragging this out so long, when this wouldn't have happened if it was close to the time they mentioned :(.
