Now that my in-laws are here safely under IR5, just wondering when they will receive their green cards and social security cards? I have paid the new 165 fees for both of them before they came here and they have been here for about 10 days. I don't know how long it usually takes for their green cards to arrive. Is there a way to track the process with their nvc case # or to call? I know it probably takes a few weeks. I will greatly appreciate it if anybody can share some experiences or advices.

green card takes anywhere fromm 3weeks to a month. If you checked the box for SS card on the DS 230 sdometimes it gets sent automatically in two weeks . if not , just visit your local social security admnistration office to apply in person. They need to go with IDs and if told their names are not in the SAFE database yet, dnt let them start any process to verify with USCIS( as this will leghten the process), just go home and go back again in few days.
