Hi Everyone,

I am new to this very very helpful website. First of all i would like to say thanks to the admins who uploaded the example forms and helped us through out. Our Forms were so correctly filled that the attorney was surprised at the perfection :D

Secondly, I am currently working in a multinational company who have the policy of serving 3 month after putting the resignation. I wanted to inquire whether the period of 90 days starts as soon as the VISA is received to the alien fiancee or once he/she lands to US.

Regards,

Sehrish Khan

There are two "deadlines"- the visa deadline is when you need to enter the USA by- it is usually 6 months after you receive the visa, but may be less, especially if your medical was a long time before your interview.

Then, when you enter, a new countdown starts to a 90 day deadline to get married- this is independent from the visa deadline so whether you move to the USA on the day after you get the visa or 6 months later, you still get 90 days to get married.
